EMV Chip Technology
Many retailers are suffering from an increase in fraud with regard to the switch to EMV credit cards. The burden of liability has been placed on retailers' shoulders, but they are left at the mercy of software vendors as they roll out the technology well past the conversion date of October 1, 2015.
GFIA is working closely with its fellow associations, NGA and FMI to provide guidance to its members on how to best combat the fraud that is being perpetrated on the retail community.
