Each spring, the GFIA legislative team, members and legislative partners travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with federal legislators about issues pertaining to the food industry. It is a great experience and we encourage any member who is interested to join us for the event.
Conference activities include a federal issues briefing, reception and full day of lobbying on Capitol Hill! The annual “Day in Washington” is a joint conference held by the Food Marketing Institute, the National Grocers Association and the Food Industry Association Executives. We coordinate this event so that we can show our industry’s strength on a national level.
